This comes a few weeks to the primaries of the New Patriotic Party, which falls on April 25th 2020.
Mr Joseph Mensah is in the competition with the Executive Secretary of the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA) who has a strong belief that Mr Joseph Mensah has performed poorly, and therefore deserves no second term to represent the people of kwesimintsim in the law-making chamber of Ghana. There are as well many, including ordinary residents of Kwesimintsim who have indicated on several platforms that Mr Joseph Mensah has failed as a first term MP, whilst, over 70 percent of the delegates in the constituency in a recent survey rejected to vote for Mr Joseph Mensah in the primaries.
But Mr Joe Mensah believes, he is facing these repercussions due to his failure to showcase his achievements to the public. He believes he has achieved roaring success as a member of parliament for Kwesimintim. The Legislator, therefore, took journalists on a tour of his constituency to enable them to have firsthand information on the projects he has been undertaking as a first-term MP. Some of the projects include roads, CHIPS compounds, community playing fields, durbar grounds with pavements blocks, storm drains, merchandised boreholes, footbridges etc.
Mr. Joseph Mensah believes, a recent survey by the Western Journal which projected him as the best performing first-term Member of Parliament in the Sekondi Takoradi metropolis, as a clear attestation of his achievements.
